Hand-colored sixth-plate daguerreotype in leather case of Betsey Tobey Sprague (b. 1789), taken ca. 1850-1855 by an unknown photographer. She was the widow of Silas Tobey (1811-1817) and was married again in 1823 to Phineas Sprague (b. 1779). Enclosed is a note in an unknown hand that identifies the photograph.
